We baptize individuals who have accepted Jesus as their Savior, shown repentance, and understand this commitment. Therefore, we do not baptize infants but those who have chosen baptism as a symbol of their new life in Christ. Acts 2:38
It is a symbol of your total identification with Christ and allegiance to him. It shows that you have associated yourself with the death and resurrection of Jesus. "Don't you know that all who share in Christ Jesus by being baptized also share in his death? When we were baptized, we died and were buried with Christ. We were baptized, so we would live a new life, as Christ was raised to life by the glory of God the Father. (Romans 6:3-4)
It's a direct command from Christ “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Jesus himself was baptized (Matthew 3:13-17).
We believe in baptism by immersion, meaning you will be put completely under the water and then brought back up. Jesus was baptized by immersion. Mark 1: 9-10 says that “he came up out of the water.”
